AISECT is India’s leading IT training,
education and services network with presence of over 8,500 centres across 27
states and 3 Union Territories. Since 1985, AISECT has been working towards
bridging the skill gap between urban and rural India and creating employment
opportunities for the rural youth. The organization’s mission is to reach out to
the remotest corner of India and promote ICT-based training and services to
empower people, generate employment for the youth and unfold entrepreneurship
based initiatives to create an inclusive society. Its objective is to ensure
that the rural youth is equipped to take on the opportunities that come with the
ICT revolution.
An ISO 9001:2008 certified organization aims to address the skill gaps pertinent
to the emerging needs of a rapidly growing economy. AISECT trains over a lakh
students and professionals every year. The organization has, till date,
transformed the lives of over 1 million students through a host of skill
enhancement programs and generated over 10,000 entrepreneurs in the country.
AISECT has not only trained a large number of students through its vocational
education academies, it has also linked these trainings with placements under
various projects like SGSY, DPIP, etc. where it has trained and placed
candidates in the organized and unorganized sectors. In an endeavour to make
quality education accessible at the grass root level, the organization has also
set up various institutions of higher education including Central India’s first
private University Dr. C V Raman University which is located in the tribal area
of Kota-Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, Scope College of Engineering in Bhopal and the
AISECT University which is Bhopal’s first private university.
Listed in a World Bank-IIM (A) joint study as one of the most successful
initiatives on ICT for rural development, AISECT is the recipient of several
prestigious awards till date.
